2024 SUMMIT
February 20 - 22 • Arlington, VA
Summit Purpose
Our purpose is to pivot from identity-formation and planning to capacity-building and action. We have built a strong foundation for C w/o C to take concrete actions toward our shared goal. To ensure that we use our limited resources to achieve the greatest impact on the ground, we need you to be a part of this transition from planning and process to action and advancement.
Executive Director Leo Miranda-Castro will deliver a detailed proposal for the future path of the coalition to build capacity, to expand its services, and to launch a sustainable strategy and action plan to achieve greater voluntary collaboration across America’s working lands. We will collectively assess the future value proposition for Conservation Without Conflict, incorporating your feedback into the long-term strategic priorities and next steps of the coalition.
The Conservation Without Conflict 2024 summit served as an important gathering of representatives from various private and public organizations. They united with the common goal of advancing collaborative conservation efforts and fostering a culture of enduring trust and partnership nationwide. The main objective of this summit was to gather direct feedback from the attendees and establish priorities for the future of the coalition. Each session emphasized a thematic focus on the future, covering topics such as a roadmap for the future, collaborative conservation in action, harnessing the power of private lands in conservation partnerships, innovative approaches and incentives, visions for the future, and strategies for moving forward.
